Washington annual report deadline
A Washington business's annual report is due by its expiration date: the last day of the month in which it was first formed or registered with the Secretary of State. That applies to domestic and foreign entities.
You can file up to 180 days before the due date, and filing early doesn't change the expiration date.
Checked against official Washington sources on Oct 1, 2026. Filewell is a private filing service, not the Washington Secretary of State.
What the rule says
Online filings count as on time when they're submitted before midnight on the due date.
“must file an annual report accompanied by the fee established under WAC 434-112-085 by the last day of the month that the entity was formed or registered by the division.”
Filing early
“An annual report may be filed up to 180 days prior to the due date.”
If the expiration date has passed
Washington says that not filing by the expiration date results in a delinquent status. When a business's status is listed as Delinquent, the state adds a $25 delinquency fee to the $70 report fee. If the report still isn't filed 120 days after it's due, the state may begin administrative dissolution.
“Failure to file on or before the expiration date results in a delinquent status and may lead to administrative dissolution.”

Questions
How do I find my expiration date?
It's shown on the business's record in Washington's Corporations and Charities Filing System (CCFS) search, and it's the last day of the month the business was formed or registered.
Does filing early move my expiration date?
No. Washington says filing early doesn't change the expiration date.
Does Filewell know whether my business is delinquent?
Only when we've seen Washington's own record for it. We never assume a status from dates alone.
